The Palais Nikaia: a temple of contemporary music
Bordering the Var River like a big crab, five minutes away from the bay, the Nikaia Palace is Nice's multi-purpose concert hall.

Performances by the greatest French and international voices in modern music are held here. From Coldplay and Depeche Mode to Pink Floyd and the much-missed David Bowie, as well as musicals, comedies, sporting events, and circuses, the programming is breath-taking. The enthusiasm of the crowds for these shows, as exceptional as they are inspiring, is predictably noisy. Just imagine: the palace, which is next door to the Charles Ehrmann stadium, has a capacity of up to 9,000 spectators! During the summer, the two venues merge to form an open concert space.
