Palazzu Stidda, for the love of art

An intimate location to get off the beaten track. Enter this secret and majestic nest for a moment of peace, and get connected with art.

Located between the cathedral and the Ursino castle, a stone's throw from the Pescheria, this private mansion ranks among the city's best kept secrets. This magnificent 19th-century abode overlooks one of the most charming alleys of Catania.
Palazzu Stidda offers four apartments - one with a breakfast area, the other three with kitchens - all decorated with taste and simplicity, emphasising the nobility of raw materials.
As you come inside, let the exquisite fragrances of aromatic plants lure you back out to the lemon trees planted on the terrace.
This is a personal, yet very welcoming space in which "memory verges on love and art", as current owners Patrizia and Giovanni like to point out. Palazzu Stidda also holds a gallery reflecting the passion that inhabits the two artists - who work with clay, bronze and stained glass in the wonderful arched workshops of the ground floor.
